Living a Life of Love
with Spiritual Economics
What’s the solution to the environmental crisis?
What is the solution to the economic crisis?
What is the solution to the social crisis?
The answer is the same for each question.
The answer is Gitagrad
How Gitagrad is the answer lies in the fact that Gitagrad is a concept of living
A concept that is in harmony with the design of human beings and planet earth
In harmony because the idea of Gitagrad comes from the designer Himself
Lord Sri Krishna
Sri Krishna has given us a beautiful home along with its manual of operation
The exact regularity of the sun’s motion tells us that there is an intelligence
behind the creation that far surpasses that of human beings.
Yet human beings with quite limited knowledge have endeavored to improve upon the
wonderful creation of Sri Krishna. As a result we have problems compounding problems
But the solution to all of them is quite simple actually, all that is necessary is that we
Again live according to His instructions.
Gitagrad is the place where we begin to teach this wonderful concept of living in harmony
With the creation. Living in harmony with our fellow man. Living in harmony with the earth,
And most importantly, living in harmony with the Creator Himself.
Lord Sri Krishna
There are five Gitagrad communities. Three are in planning stages and two are functional, all in E. Europe (Lithuania, Ukraine (2), Moldova, Russia.
Gitagrad communities are where we put the philosophy of Spiritual Economics into practice. On the next page you will learn about the philosophical foundation for Gitagrad. Following that is more detailed information about our communities, and a link to our Gitagrad blog is here.
Gitagrad communities function as far as possible on the basis of self-sufficiency in food, clothing and shelter. The economic support of Gitagrad communities comes primarily from the land and cow. We are attempting to grow the most of our food, are learning how to produce our own cloth, soap, and other essentials. Houses are built from clay and straw (cob in the West/saman in Russian) and recycled materials as far as possible.
Still, pioneering self-sufficiency can only be done with the help of many people who share the interest of establishing alternative ways of living. We call these people our Parterns-for-Life.
If you appreciate the message of Spiritual Economics and the gift economy we invite you to also become one of our partners. For more information about our Partners-for-Life program click here.
